IMA Scholarships and Awards Program
            Revised July 2012


The IMA in conjunction with IMA Partners are pleased to sponsor the following scholarships and awards. With the main focus on education and professional development, our Scholarship and Award Program supports IMA members, their children, and the assessment professions toward the pursuit of higher education. The goal of the IMA is to promote and support professional success through education.

W.J. Lettner Memorial Award:

Awarded to a member who achieves the M.I.M.A Accredited Designation during a calendar year, and has the highest composite percentage from the Accreditation Written Exam, and the IMA courses: Assessor and the Courts, and Law and the Assessor Part 2.

Awarded annually at the IMA Annual Conference


The IMA and Legal Group Scholarship:

Available to a son/grandson or daughter/granddaughter of an IMA member who is entering their 2nd year full-time at a Canadian university in a Real Estate or Real Estate Law program or a course of study related to the practice of Municipal Assessment such as Valuation/Appraisal, Land Economics, Planning etc.

The IMA and Altus Group Scholarship:

Available to a son/grandson or daughter/granddaughter of an IMA member who is enrolled full-time at a Canadian College in a Real Estate/Law or Property Assessment program and/or related field.

The IMA Achievement Award:

Available to the student who achieves the highest grade in the full time Real Property Administration diploma program at Seneca College.

Highest mark in the RPA Program awarded in the second year of study.


Christian G. Schulze Award for Excellence:

Available to students in the full time Real Property Administration diploma program at Seneca College. The award is given to the student who achieves the highest mark in the "Law and the Assessor Part 1" course and who demonstrates good attendance and class participation.

The IMA Assessors Recognition Award:

This award is given to students demonstrating potential in the field of property assessment and taxation as deemed deserving by faculty based on enthusiasm and interest shown in the subject matter and notable in-class participation and performance.
